Art 2, Advanced Art 1, Advanced Art 2
After completing Art 1 with a passing grade you can take Art 2 with Mrs. Maddox. Art 2 challenges your creativity and pushes you to be a more independent artist. Projects in this course will introduce new media and techniques such as oil painting, relief prints, plaster, sculpture, stenciling, and more while reiterating the knowledge you gathered in your Art 1 course.
After Art 2, you can sign up for Advanced Art 1 then 2. Advanced Art students begin to come into their own as an artist. A little hard work and dedication and bam(!) you will start to see your own personal style emerge. With each project you grow as an artist, incorporating personal meaning into drawings, paintings and sculpture.
Seniors enrolled in Art 2 or Advanced Art 1 & 2 have the opportunity to compile a Senior Exhibit at our annual Spring Art Show that coincides with the BHS Musical.
All students in Art 2 and above with an A average in their previous art course, will be invited to be a member of National Art Honor Society (NAHS).
